The base platform from where Warpath lurez initially evolved was a combination of factors inherent within the sport fishing arena of Papua New Guinea. These waters have always been noted as being very productive and have pronounced seasonal trends.
Species variation for sport fishing within the parameters of each fishing day was a positive feature which highlighted the inadequacies of the lure marketed throughout the countries fishing tackle outlets, and similar comments applied to the wide variety of lures which were sourced from Australia and other well known game/sport fishing locations. Most of these lures worked when given the correct grouping of required factors, however, fishing is very rarely a day when it all comes together and the targeted species all magically assemble as a delivered package around the vessel as if on cue!!
A serious requirement existed for lures which ‘worked’ throughout a wide variety of conditions encountered across a great number of very different locations, as well as being lures which could be expected to perform favorably when presented with a variety of species as opposed to the targeting of a specific species at a given known location.
Through basic design, rigorous testing and subsequent analysis Warpath Lurez has produced a range of game/sport fishing lures that have their own signature and high work ethics. Quality lures display their pedigree as soon as they are sent to work behind a vessel at troll speed. Fair comment could be made to the effect that very few, if any, lures have ever been subjected to such exhausted and lengthy testing through two oceans and seventeen seas before being released to the market.
